As well as going to Chicago a couple weeks ago, I also got to spend all of around 48 minutes exploring downtown Detroit on the way back from the Airport! Such a fascinating city. Downtown seems to be bustling and well put together, then literally 400 yards outside of downtown every single building is abandoned. It is madness.
I also did quite a few Panoramas, as well, since I only took my 35 f/1.4 on my D4 with me. Man, that is a crazy crazy sharp lens. Totally worth it being super expensive. I'll just post more photos, since I don't need to many words.
We had some really quite decent clouds, as well, which made for some relatively nice light, despite it being literally 12:00 noon. Also apparently I am partial to vertical photos in cities.
One of my favorites, of my Wife's brother Cameron, above a grate while I was underneath. Really really nice sunstar with no flare whatsoever. My wife taking pretty much the same frame in the picture above, just with different framing.
I did take quite a few panoramas, as well. Cities just work so well for them! Look, Canada!
This next one I had to host on flickr, since it was too large to put here. It is something like 12000x8500 pixels.
Thanks for reading!
