Anyways, my brother Cameron was up here for a week and a half or so just hanging out, so as well as going to the national park with a couple other cool dudes we rented a cabin up at Lake Metigoshe state park here in North Dakota, right on the Canadian border. Needless to say, it was a bit snowy.
So this post should have fallen in front of my last post on Teddy Roosevelt National Park, but apparently I was super lazy and forget, as much as I LOVE the photos that I got. So a very black, white, grey, and orange post for today. All the photos in this post were taken with either my Fujifilm X-T1 Graphite or my old X-Pro1 (taking it out for one more outing before the X-Pro2 comes and completely replaces it.) I decided at the last minute to take my much lighter Fuji gear as opposed to my Nikon gear. Man am I glad I did. I also let my brother borrow one of my X-T1s and a lens because his Nikon D7000 broke on him and we had to send it to be fixed.

So about that whole "it being January thing?" Apparently it isn't because Brad, Ben, Cameron, and I went out to Teddy Roosevelt National park and it definitely rained a lot more than it snowed (though it did a bit of that too.)
(This is going to be a pretty image heavy post, so be prepared. Also, all images taken with either my Nikon D4s with the Nikon 200-500 f/5.6E or my Fujifilm X-T1 with the Fuji 16-55 f/2.8WR.) |
